Welcome to Roosevelt's Behavior Support Classroom!

Oahu, Hawaii. My favorite place!
My name is Emily Seppmann. I am the EBD teacher of Roosevelt's Behavior Support Classroom. I have my bachelor's and master's degrees in Special Education: Emotional and Behavioral Disorders. I also have completed my Autism Certificate. This is my 15th year of teaching in the Mankato schools. I am married and have two sons. Some of my favorite things to do besides teaching are traveling, spending time with my family, and watching movies.

In the Behavior Support Classroom, Room 104, we work with students in grades Kindergarten through fifth grade. There is daily social skills group where students work on managing strong emotions appropriately and improving their behavior. Many students also receive their academic instruction in Room 104. As students continue to improve their behavior, they spend more time in their mainstream classrooms. We have wonderful paraprofessionals who help support these students with their academic and behavioral needs in the classrooms.

The goals of the Behavior Support Classroom are to improve students' social, emotional, behavioral, and academic performance.
